Becoming pregnant myself when I was only fifteen, my life was turned upside down. I navigated the rough path of single motherhood at a very young age and was able to beat the odds. Obtaining my B.S. from Madonna University at age twenty-two came directly after graduating from a teen mom high school program. The support and structure I received from responsible mentors and members of the community enabled my future success. Statistics tell us only 2% of teen mothers obtain a college degree before age thirty.
Being a mom as a teen while maintaining my education was hard work. This is why I am committed to reaching out. I have experienced first hand the better pay and advantages that come from having a four year degree and I believe every young woman should prioritize her education. Eliminating poverty is only one obstacle surrounding young single moms. I want to build a zone for networking where all mothers can learn how to increase income and live out their most audacious goals! Educated women who can manage money as well as their parenting responsibilities make for a stronger society. This website is dedicated to women world-wide, as a space for awareness and innovation.
